Katy Thompson
Katy Thompson is the Representative of the Administrator of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) on the Board of Trustees of the United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute (UNICRI) since November 2018.
Ms. Thompson is Head of the Rule of Law, Security and Human Rights team in the Crisis Bureau, UNDP and is based out of headquarters in New York, USA. She is Co-Chair of the UN Global Focal Point on Rule of Law and manages UNDP's Global Programme for Rule of Law and Human Rights. She is a lawyer who has worked internationally for over 25 years in peacebuilding, rule of law, human rights, gender equality, conflict prevention and strategic planning.
She holds degrees from Cambridge University, Essex University and the College of Law in the United Kingdom.
